There's actually an image posting button next to the smiley button. Just click that and insert your gif link, and it should show up.
I would like to make a note however that for imgur .gifv are mp4 files though so you will need to either see if a .gif file exist for it or embed as media.. personally I rehost them on https://gfycat.com/ and then embed them as media because that works a lot more smoothly.
Right click on the image, copy image address, use that link.

I see three quals if I search for the requester name. All three said they could be requested, no test, no retake. I was too scared to request them not knowing what they were looking for, and I'm sure my 750 hits wouldnt mean squat to them.

Hitting request qual doesn't do anything unless you get something instantly.. I don't believe there is ever any risk in requesting it.. they don't even know when you do.

You can request them but they are not auto granted. You obtain that qual by completing qual HITs or if the requester assigns it to you. (for that requester)

Good to know. A few minor ones I got brave and clicked and they either autogranted or just went to pending. But I was affraid if someone looked at the requested ones and you didn't meet the requirements they would deny it and never have a chance of getting it later so I shied away from them.

you are prob safe to request everything you can .. that is what I do =p sometimes you get some auto granted stuff.
