So, a company I applied for wants me to do a video interview. Not with an actual person, but record myself giving answers to questions.

Tell us about yourself. "Um, I don't like being asked to tell people about myself."

I don't see any scenario where I don't come across as at least a little awkward and/or annoyed.

if they're that lazy they cant even see you in person... aint worth it.

Probably a pain in the ass pre-interview they are making people do to see who is worth actually interviewing.

I try to be good. But when you get an interview with Siemens through Manhard staffing agency, it's not easy.

I did some work for them in the field recently. Hours waiting for a tech to call me back to check something simple and close out my work order. They paid for all of my time sitting there waiting though, so I can't really complain.

2. Not good. I couldn't sell water bottles in the Sahara. But that's part of the reason that I'm good at what I do.

So they are telling you they don't have time for you. Just do it yourself? Can you hire yourself, set your hours and salary too? Lazy people want you to phone it in.

Hey maybe they'll send you to Germany or teleport you there since they don't want to see you.

Or it could be a matter of getting hundreds of applications for one job and wanting to weed out some. Who knows. I'd prefer a phone interview, but I won't complain if I get the job.

That's just weird. I'm not sure I'd be ok with putting myself on video answering goodness knows what questions and not being able to ask for clarification or feedback from anyone.

Honestly, I'd pass on this job. I hate to say that, but I would.
