Oh yeah, I just remember I went to the other side of town off of I 10 to a client's that night because I'd given up being afraid of these things. That's why I was thinking Katrina hadn't happened yet. So x took me and everyone was leaving town and we were just staying and doing business as usual. Katrina didn't surprise me because we'd been in New Orleans over that Christmas and it snowed on Christmas Eve in New Orleans. Then when we went to leave town a few days later 10 was closed and it was a long drive back to Houston on the back road. I was watching them check out the bridges and I made a comment that for some reason made x mad. I guess he thought I was being conspirical. I said that there was something going on with poor construction on those bridges and highway or it wouldn't be closed and they wouldn't be paying so close attention. It was the freeze unfreezing and refreezing that they couldn't stand up too. everyone knows it doesn't snow in New Orleans. Haha. Anyway that made x mad and then I could say I told you so when Katrina happened. This was after Katrina. That's what caused the mass hysteria.
