boston cream pie cake with cherries on top. it was on clearance. usually they have loaves of bread on clearance so I was happy to find this. :)
Oh, yeah, that's right. I remember you saying that. Sounds really good. Now if I want cake, I have to find vegan recipes. Still working on perfecting them.

that sounds hard. maybe a heavily sweetened bread that rises a lot? with half-baked fruit on top so it's syrupy.

Use applesauce. 1/4 c for each egg. Nom nom nom. If it needs a little more to raise it, add about 1/2 tsp of baking powder too.
OR
A tablespoon of ground flax with 3 of water, mix it up into a gloopy mess, and add that. Baking powder too if needed.

If it was a little flat, add a 1/2tsp baking powder :) Sometimes, some recipes depend on the eggs for leavening too, and not just moisture. So you gotta add a bit more BP.

:) I haven't tried the applesauce substitute either. agree with JenniLeigh @JenniLeigh about the baking powder or baking soda. also I read adding lemon juice helps baked things rise. it interacts with baking soda.

I had a health teacher who made us eat vegan pancakes for class. They weren't good, but it is possible to make them.

I'm not dissing vegan food by the way, some of it is good, but her vegan pancakes tasted like cardboard. So be careful.

lol...no, I know. I've tried some really, really bad recipes. But there have been some good ones too.
