you know, when a survey asks if I'm single, married with children, or married without children, ... I get irritated. I'm single with a child, but I'm not divorced

but just entering single isn't exactly right either...

look at me.. here I am caring about things that don't really matter to me, demographics that I honestly think are useless anyway.
I guess the requester can do with it whatever he wants even though I think they are wrong

would that be commonlaw divorced? so, divorced? do we even still have commonlaw marriage? I haven't heard about it being considered 'real' and legally binding in 15-ish years iirc. that would make some same-sex roommates married now?

As of January 2, 2005, common law marriage has been abolished in Pennsylvania.

I was only with her for four years, we didn't claim each other on our taxes (she never worked).
she had asked me a few times when I was planning on proposing, but we never expressed immediate/present intent to wed
