True dat!They cost too much.
I need mine for computer, reading and arty stuff. I get headaches without.I gave up contacts ages ago
I'm a helpless blind man left for dead without my glasses but whatever
This ^ I got two pair (high quality) for around $140, lenses and frames.I've never done it but the online ordering stuff they have now is pretty cheap.
Yeah unless you stupidly let them talk you into getting a pair at the optician's place cause they make you feel incredibly guilty and you have problems saying no...I've never done it but the online ordering stuff they have now is pretty cheap.
Costco has decent prices. I have a prism for my astigmatism so the price of lenses kill me.This ^ I got two pair (high quality) for around $140, lenses and frames.
That's funny...neither did I....Yeah unless you stupidly let them talk you into getting a pair at the optician's place cause they make you feel incredibly guilty and you have problems saying no...
Not that I recently had that happen or anything.
That was the plan. That was the plan...sigh.This ^ I got two pair (high quality) for around $140, lenses and frames.
Yeah, costco is great for that. I bought my contacts there and it was $40 for a 6 month supply! That's insanely cheap.Costco has decent prices. I have a prism for my astigmatism so the price of lenses kill me.

They messed up my exam last time and my prescription was way off, so being in the store to know that and getting it fixed right away was helpful, but if I had a prescription I trusted I'd do that.Yeah unless you stupidly let them talk you into getting a pair at the optician's place and make you feel incredibly guilty and you have problems saying no...

I'm embarrassingly close to being legally blindI need mine for computer, reading and arty stuff. I get headaches without.
If I don't have glasses/contacts on I can't see anything clearly unless it's two inches away from my face. I tried to drive one time w/o anything and I almost died. lolReading a menu at a restaurant while waiting for your glasses to get made is incredibly hard, though.
I was actually really impressed with the guy who did the exam, he aimed a flashlight at my eye and told me to try and focus on the E while he flipped lenses, basically nailed my prescription just by watching my eyes focusing. So much better than the "how about this? or this? this one or this one?"They messed up my exam last time and my prescription was way off, so being in the store to know that and getting it fixed right away was helpful, but if I had a prescription I trusted I'd do that.

That's rough. I was born with a pinched optic nerve. Used to have to wear eye patches to 'strengthen' my weaker eye. Not the cool pirate kind either. Luckily I had an amazing eye surgeon who fixed much of the problem. But I will always need glasses and someday soon the dreaded bifocals.I'm embarrassingly close to being legally blind
without my goggles its all just blobs of color outside of a 6" range
