worker ID is what I usually do, then let someone else write the requester

I save the URL of the completed thing, put in my ID, and email the requester something along the lines of "Hi! I completed your survey but there was no code. I used my ID as the code, and here is my completion URL (paste URL there). I just wanted to bring this to your attention in case it is an issue you weren't aware of.
