Glad we're not in Tally anymore. It looks like the brunt of the storm will be 'weathered' by South FL and Miami. But the Northern part of the state has very large trees - unlike S. FL (mostly palms). When we went through the tropical storm last year, we couldn't drive from one end of town to the other - trees were down on nearly every street (destroyed some houses - and cars). Huge trees just felled by the storm.

for this reason I'm worried for my grandparents in Lake City. trying to convince them to leave with my mom & aunt north today, who've been visiting them from VA.

thanks! same to yours. they are very much inland but are in a one story house with no attic and not on a hill or anything, so i'm worried that they'll try to stick it out and then get flooded like crazy :/
