I emailed them asking for more money (though more subtly) for doing their $4 hit with no warnings, as they supposedly forgot them. Surprisingly they declined. But I got paid the $4 at least. @Melly, you deserve at least that. ok i am now dismissing that hit from my mind forever.

I read somewhere this is why women are paid less then men for the same jobs, in general. Not so much chauvinism. They are less likely to negotiate salary up front, just take what is offered. I see their point, and your point. I'm such a girl.
Edit: Also, that sounds like there is math involved.
