I saw that. I've toyed with that idea as well. I've talked with a few people about ideas on multi-stage "game" like hits. My downside on that is really the programming behind it. All the ideas I've had have been either like, web scavenger hunts (which I feel will likely be too long for people to really be interested in), or like flash games, which would be a big coding effort and only marginally fun. The problem really is the platform, that's why I've been keeping these small, fast, and hopefully well paid enough that people don't mind taking time out of their turking to have some fun with it. Same with my april fools' hits. It seems like the longer the hit goes, the more effort I have to put into it (coding, testing, updating, etc) to keep people interested enough that, at the end, they're not like "well I could have made $X in that time".
I do like the idea of giving information for a "jackpot" hit in the end though, that's a neat idea. Definitely too much for this go-round, but next time it might be something interesting to throw in. The only difficulty with that is people will feel slighted if they don't catch the hits. "You posted at 2PM EST, but I work a very specific night shift and I'm only available between the hours of 1:15am and 1:16am. Just because I'm not available it means I'm not even ELIGIBLE for the jackpot?" I can hear it now
Definitely a cool idea though. Once this batch is over I'll play around with my server, see what kind of stuff I can come up with. Thanks!
