After watching The Civil War I could hope that one day my memoirs would be narrated by a soft spoken and genteel southern man.

If the goal of documentaries are to educate and to interest people in certain topics, the highest praise I can give Ken Burns is that after watching The Civil War, just one episode on a whim, I ended up watching the entire thing in a couple of days and then went out and bought a bunch of books about it to understand it better, and to this day I'm still a Civil War nerd.

The only one that people would laugh at is the rabbit that got sown (and very poorly, at that) with the seams on the outside because the girl making it didn't know you're supposed to do it inside-out so they're hidden.

My poor daughter! No one at school wished her a happy birthday (new school, but still) and she just checked the mail and her friends didn't send her even a card..........
(She used to buy them gifts for their birthday with her own money........I think they thought I would buy them gifts, but she did it all herself).
