us at the lower level argue that all. the time. sigh. I actually quit and came back 3 times over 5 years. Finally three years ago I snagged a FT position. I work in local gov.It's almost like the idea that you can retain workers by offering them reliable work and pay is an alien concept. Who would have ever thought?
But one of my part timers makes more money than me (minus benefits) working two part times in separate cities, doing similar things. One was offering $20/hr 15-30 hours a week (he works towards 25hr a week) and we pay $13.10/hr 25 solid hours a week. He's young and single and can rake it in lol
