I think she's trying to say that happiness is more of a personal decision than it is effected by things around you. I could be entirely off base though.

Let me help: the one true answer is to talk to your woman as though she were a human person whose thoughts and opinions you value, and ask her what she wants. That's the only way you can be sure to get it right.

Women and men are individuals. There is no pat answer you can follow to be right in every circumstance, regardless of gender.
i missed this post.

I just happen to disagree with the statement that we are the only things that make us happy. its true, you can do things that make yourself happy, but because of our social nature, human beings need each other to be happy as well. I'm not just talking romantic relationships... I mean family, friends, etc. as well

I just happen to disagree with the statement that we are the only things that make us happy. its true, you can do things that make yourself happy, but because of our social nature, human beings need each other to be happy as well. I'm not just talking romantic relationships... I mean family, friends, etc. as well
I think that you might be surprised at how little you need from other people. I'm not advocating for being your own island but a lot of relationships (romantic, friends, family) are just placeholders. Many of them wouldn't exist if they'd ever been put under a strain of any consequence.

humans are social creatures. we all need love deep down
