I wonder if I should call my 'eccentric' almost 90 year old relative 'down' on the east side of FL. Hurricane Matthew looks like it might hit hard...............

If it's harris county the car insurance rate alone is enough to stop someone. Probably the same in Austin now. And i've heard one can barely move around anywhere near Houston now because of all the building due to the hopefulness of the oil industry. And that can crash at any time, in fact I think it's started with the fluctuation of oil prices. It's a false front like Enron. But a crowded one.

Yeah... property and income tax is a lot lower than what we're used to in PA though. I think Austin is great for tech, but cost of living is rising there to match...
