Glad you're ok. I remember one time, when I was younger, I went through a busy stop sign and thought I had checked all ways, but almost ran over a lad and her little girl. She was yelling at me like I did it on purpose, but I genuinely didn't see her start out walking. I felt so bad and it really scared me. But I learned to go slower as I got older and now, even when I think it's clear, I still go slow. It was in Davis that also had a million bikes so you also are doing double duty watching (either as a rider or a driver), so at a stop sign, there are potentially like 8 different movements counting cars and bikes, to watch for. Not even including another eye for pedestrians going slower.

Oh man I feel that. Sometimes it's a genuine accident (this one with me was not. B was driving like a mad lad). I was in Hawaii back in February and I was casually turning into a coffee shop out in the middle of nowhere. I cut in front of a motorcycle because he blended in with the black van quite a bit behind him. Luckily I was in Hawaii and everyone was pretty chill about it and he was OK. Now I look twice...then twice more.
