Chef supply websites have lots of choices for mats to stand on. Kitchen staff, cooks and chefs are on their feet all day. (Can you tell my ex was a chef and I still am selling chef knives haha) But I like the idea of repurposing existing mats too, take care of your feet, it keeps your energy up.
I'm not really repurposing, so much as putting a band aid on until Tuesday. I actually don't think that's a great idea and could be creating more problems in the long run. Luckily, I don't need them for the long run. They still belong in my Jeep and were more expensive that what I'm looking to buy. I was a chef for years. That said, as an overall solution, chef mats are okay. I've worked in restaurants for 20 years, or so and chef mats seem to be useless if you have great shoes and just okay if you have bad shoes. So, shoes are number one, for me. Number 2, the mats made for standing desks are not made for safe movement throughout the area in front of your desk, which is a requisite of chef mats. These are made for standing and a more limited distance of movement, with increased range of motion in the joints and multiple comfortable positions.
I do appreciate the help. But, I first thought about those when I realized the need. I quickly realized there were a bunch more cons to chef mats, such as unneeded waterproof to sacrifice lightweight. I could go on but, it doesn't really matter.:( Thanks though. We had the same idea, at first.:)

I bought a 2 and a half pound bag of dried sour cherries. Fuck raisins. That is all.

*looks around for raisin named users
Where did you buy them? Are they super sour or moderately sour.
