It's sort of a close call. You are right, it's not identifying. So, that's spot on.
However, I would say this - as someone who has done some research - if the survey creator were watching, they'd be upset. That's because anything that changes the conditions of the survey (and advanced notice, even if it's not attached to the survey - just that I read your comment, then randomly open a survey with that question - that changes the conditions. I have a new bias, yk?)
Anyway, you are right - it's not identifying. But if the researcher were reading the forum, they'd be worried (it's a threat to validity).
I suppose we should talk about it more, admin-wise, in the future
