I'm not sure what the problem is but a carb rebuild doesn't take that long and costs way less. Unless you've been looking for a reason to go fuel injected i'd stick with the carb system and keep it authentic

There isn't much worth of rebuilding a 2 barrel aside of it being a 1 of 1 car.. there's benefits of efi that even old timers have to agree on and for what it's worth.. That's less time in the garage. As far as authenticity goes.. See above.

I didn't mean it as an attack, but I don't see anything wrong with adding new age functionality to an old school death trap. It's got an unoriginal drivetrain in it as it is, so I wouldn't necessarily be taking away the authenticity of the car. I do agree on that thin, if I had a completely matching K code 65, I'd have 24/7 security guards around it.

no worries i didn't take it as an attack you made a fair point. I'm not as experienced with classic vehicles but i have rebuilt a carb before so i was going off that experience of it being cheap and easy. Adding modern parts to classic cars has its own 2nd kind of cool to it blending modern tech with classic beauty
