Eloisa James does actually sound vaguely familiar; I have nothing against her or any other competent romance novelist. No shame in genre if you actually put in the time and the effort to learn how to do it correctly.

I've dated my share of losers, but after the age of, oh, 21, I can't say that anyone has ever stolen actual property from me.

My sanity? Yes. My faith in human goodness? Sure. But physical items? No.

So at least I have GOOD taste in losers, lol.
