Super cool! I grew up watching Jeopardy with my dad every night and get about 75-85% correct most nights. My dad usually got every question right but said he never wanted to actually compete on the show. I'm tempted to actually try out for the show (with a little extra preparation first).

How did you end up getting on the show? Did you do anything in particular to prepare?

If you can get that many right, I would strongly suggest trying out, if you have any interest. I took the online test every time it came up and eventually got called back for an audition. After the audition, you are in the contestant pool for 18 months and I got booked for my episode about a month and a half after the audition.

To prepare, I did several things. My husband would ask me games from J!-Archive and also we would practice wagering strategy using those totals. I read a lot of books, mostly childrens books, on things like presidents, mythology, stuff like that. I watched videos on Khan Academy and Great Courses Plus. And I was actually acting in a musical at the time so when I wasn't on stage I'd be in the green room cramming.
