lol its no biggie, i really just like to have the word spread around that we all don't have to accept low pay.

before I was on mturk, I used to spend all day on a site called clixsense, which gave me around 10 bucks a day for around 8-10 hours of looking for and doing surveys.

When I started turking, I thought 6.00 an hour was great compared to the stuff I used to do.

When I joined my first mturk forum, I realized that there were hits that paid 15, 20 30 bucks an hour and I didn't have to accept all the low paying crap.


Its all about us moving up as a community. When we raise our standards, requesters raise their pay.

It’s funny, I raised my standards about a month ago and now refuse to do low-paying HITs. I thought that meant my PE would suffer, but it’s actually gotten better. And I’m less miserable than I used to be.

I used to do surveys for Pinecone Research back in the day, and I thought they were the best thing in the world because they paid $3 each. The first time I did a batch of 25 cent hits here I was blown away, I was like shit Mturk is the way to go, I'm gonna make so much dough here.

And thus began a slow descent into the depths of hell.
