Since it's Halloween month and she's orange - call her Pumpkin! So, we have a new cat. Who is still nameless. Not a tortie.
She's a year and half old sweet little stray who is missing part of one year and the tip of her tail has been broken and healed crooked (you can't see it, just feel it). She attracted us to her kennel immediately. It was very hard to decide but we kept coming back to her.
Not great pics, these were taken in the "getten to know your kitten" room (and that is my kid with the cat). I'll take better ones later. She's exploring the house now, and I'm off to get a cat scratch tree (mine seems to have been eaten by my garage) and a kitty bed. My dog has not seen the new cat yet. That will be fun.

If she's missing the tip of one ear, she could be neutered. The Trap , Neuter, Return program is a humane way to reduce the number of homeless cats...they are trapped, neutered and given vaccinations, then returned to the place they came from. There's more info on the web about it. It's a good thing. The cats here in Sacramento, CA are also microchipped with in the Humane Society's name. So, we have a new cat. Who is still nameless. Not a tortie.
