One project I am running in the lab now in centered on forensic analytical chemistry. In particular refinement post-mortem interval calculations of corpses using exo-metabolomic signatures and identification of clandestine grave sites using on soil chemistry via LC/MS. I have the privilege of working with several forensics scientist, but since our work is mostly oriented on recently dead people we don't cross paths with too many forensic anthropologists. Some days I feel like my life is like the TV show Bones. Sounds like you might be headed in that direction too, and let me tell you it's pretty cool!I actually love all four sub fields of anthropology (archaeology, cultural anth, bio anth and linguistics) my BA and MA is in anthropology which has led me to cook stuff like working in their coroners office doing autopsies, teaching English abroad, working on sequences the human DNA sequences in Africa and China, teaching , even get to be an expert witness sometimes. I highly recommend the major to people all the time
