Yeah, I know. They sprung this on my landlord this morning and he told them more than likely tenants were not going to let them in without notice. I just did so because my place is squeaky clean today. With a toddler it might not be tomorrow. lol He's usually really good about notice. Like a week in advance some times. So I cut him a break. My landlord is just refinancing his places. I guess the company wants to see how his buildings are like before re-doing the loan.

good number of people don't have the money/time/knowhow to fight. i'd argue that's what @Jaded is getting at.

dead-bolting your door when your landlord is being somewhat reasonable because they aren't following the letter of the law isn't going to win you too many friends.
