Nah there is a word for it, misophonia. I used to get SUPER upset about mouth noise, but I had to spend a lot of time with people for whom mouth noise when eating is normal and kind of expected culturally and it desensitized me. Also for some reason Instagram thinks I want to see Mukbang videos and that's helped, too lmaoI am. I think it should be illegal to have crunching/eating sounds in commercials.
There is some Benefuls commercial where a dog is munching on stuff while talking that makes me instantly tune out. The worst is the Geico commercial that plays all the time on tune-in where you hear some guy munching on egg salad followed by hearing his stomach churning and him being like "uh ohhh."
Maybe it's just me.
