Mornin' Sondles.

Since it's Sunday and could be slow, if anyone is interested in watching a pretty good mini-series,
The City and the City https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_City_&_the_City, is very good, if you like your tv very 'think-y'. And, I do. It's super well written. Based on an award winning book of the same name. It's about 2 city-states, Beszel and UlQoman, which occupy the same physical space, on Earth but, through training and indoctrination, the people from each separate nation don't "see" each other, or the other place. They are trained to recognize something from that other place without seeing it and, once their brain gets triggered and then they just don't see it. If they do, they are guilty of what's called 'breach' which is punished also by 'Breach'(the maybe alien police who prosecute breachers). To an outside observer, the 2 nations would look like one large metropolitan. It's very neat and is a good metaphor for how we walk through cities ignoring, or not even seeing, less fortunate and, after 30 years of looking away, it becomes natural even, instinct.

EDIT Btw, it's a police procedural, in the setting described.
