didn't happen here, but I did have an exchange with a male who looked to be a High School junior or senior and I quipped "A little old to be trick or treating?" and he replied "dude, you're never too old to trick or treat!".

I figure by the time you are a teen, it's more appropriate to go to parties rather than have to go door to door begging for a treat when you can simply drive yourself to the store to get a bag of candy for yourself with your summer job money or whatever.

My criteria for treats is if they have a costume or not.
Knocking on my door and calling me "dude" will most certainly get them candy, a bag of candy corn shoved up....I mean, I would say, "kindly leave my stoop young sir"

45 deg here. The chill plus a school night may explain why there have been only about 15 trick or treaters so far.

How do you trick-or-treat?

- Start on one side of the street, return going up the other side
- Criss-cross the street as you work your way down the street
- Slow roll in a warm car while your trick-or-treater children freeze outside
- I don't trick-or-treat - I stay home and hand out the candy

You probably know this, but the idea is that the non treat giving big meanie stomps the bag to put the fire out.
And yeah, just one of those urban myths, no one would ever do that, especially me, no way no how.
I do wonder what the statute of limitations is on something like that though

Lucky kids this year, the weather is so nice tonight out here.

Not so lucky here, the weather really impacted the number of kids I get. It dropped 40 degrees today (freeze warning) with winds at 20 mph. Some cuties did stop by and everyone got extra candy since I had so much expecting a lot more kids.
