Good morning everyone.

Been gone for about a week while working as a poll worker. Interesting experience working at Nationals Park and first day of early voting had over 1500 voters while Election Day had less than 600. Spent more time walking the news media and election observers through the voting process than helping voters because we had so many news media/election observers and so few voters on Election Day. Even had the Ambassador from Honduras to the U.S. come in on Election Day to check out the voting process.

Given that it is 2020, we had a fire alarm go off on Election Day and nobody knew if it was real or just a drill and we had to evacuate for 10 minutes before getting the all-clear. Turns out a pipe burst in another section of the building due to the major fluctuations in temp over the last couple weeks. Had a first-time voter in her 70's who exhausted all her energy walking to the polling place and was so exhausted that a poll worker and the Board Of Elections general counsel had to drive her home after she cast her ballot.
