Yeah, honestly I think my poor investment choice in her really knocked down the value there.

My lack of investment in the relationship sure knocked down her future investibility i guess you could say LOL

Dolls are great investments

doubt it. My dad's woman friend donated a bunch of dolls to charity end of last year (she purchased "limited edition" dolls from HSN or QVC or some other tv shopping junk channel) and I wasn't able to find a reasonable donation value for them so I'm not convinced they are very desirable or valuable.

How do you know which ones to buy?

I'm waiting until they turn a profit or offer some competitive advantage over their competitors. Not sure I'm ever investing in SmileDirectClub, Uber, Lyft, Peloton as I don't expect those to ever amount to much with profits, earnings growth, and uniqueness.

Of course I broke my IPO rules by taking a small flier in Virgin Galactic. I've lost a couple bucks a share already but it could be big if they can start sending humans into space next year.
