Why would anyone give someone their CC statement even if you do block out your number? That's just asking for trouble.

If it only included credits and debits, and left off any identifiers(name, address, card#, etc.), I don't think it could really hurt, IMO. Everyone has different views of the risks that they take online, though. I get my statement emailed. I don't think my gmail account is very secure either. I am willing to accept the risk. I pity the jackass that steals my identity. Maybe he'll bring my credit score up, lol.
