Oven? Isn't that the backup clothes dryer? Just use wooden hangers, not plastic ones, when you're hanging stuff off the racks...

We had a run on the fire dept where some guy poured gas on his kitchen linoleum b/c he read it took the scum off the grout...the fumes ignited from the pilot light on the gas water heater in the utility closet. Helluva way to get your insurance company to pay for your kitchen makeover.

After 29 years on the FD and 5 in a NYC ER, not much surprises me anymore

When the wood stove gets cleaned next week, I'll put the clothes in that room (not close to the woodstove - but in the room generally). I have a dryer, but I don't like to use it. I put a lot of our clothes on the radiators. TBH, they dry in like 15 minutes when the heat kicks on.
