So I've just done this HIT, but there's no way to submit it, because it's coded wrong, and the code for submitting is in the text box, if that makes any sense whatsoever. What the heck do I do? I can't figure out how to contact the requester, and the HIT is about to expire.

come on Mturk, go back to the way things used to be, where you didn't charge requester so much to post Hits and there were decent hits to do on nights and weekends. Well does a good thing always fall by the wayside?

You might still try emailing them and explain what happened. Once I did this and they gave me a make-up hit. Other times I've gotten no resolve, but it's at least worth a polite email to see.
