I 'won' and finished my second draft of what I was working on, on Tuesday. Taking a break because I wrote 200k some odd words the past two months and I'm brain dead.

my daughter's mom used to watch it,
on my laptop, on my chest.
I didn't think much of it, and would just go to sleep
she would get upset with me

it took quite a number of years to realize that she didn't just want to watch it with me
but also that she wanted my company, in case she was scared
hopefully her new boyfriend isn't as stupid as I was
but, he probably isn't, since they've been together for almost four years now
my ex is always smiling, and my kid never has a problem going back to her mother's

My older kids are with my ex, and his fiance at Disneyland for the holiday. My younger two are stuck here with me while I'm on mturk 16 hrs a day, to keep lights on.
5 years ago, I would have just been me, glad they were having fun wherever they were, I know these situations suck.
You care, obviously, and she knows that.
