So, last night I got my knitting together (put in my huge contacts - getting better at that!) and drove to a coffee and sandwich shop downtown to attend a knitting group. Ordered a mulled cider (they were out, though the guy behind the counter told me I could pick out an apple juice and he'd heat it up for me.....um. no). So I got 8oz of coffee for 4.00.

and just to be chatty. I didn't tip. For years I always taught my daughter to tip something - and generally 20%. But - it's getting expensive out there! And - do you really tip at the counter? Maybe I should have. Sigh.....

I just took up knitting a few months ago. Been crocheting for about ten years. I think I might actually get all my presents done by christmas this year by some miracle.
