I figured it was the rain forest they have in Hawaii, one of two in the U.S. (the other being the Olympic National Park in WA., in which I spent two glorious weeks several years ago after having four family members die six months apart ... and I felt the need to 'get away from it all').

Well that would be one great place to go to get away. I lived up in Port Townsend for a spell and played around in the Olympics quite a bit (younger days, of course). We aren't quite a rain forest here in general Portland area but we get enough rain that around the Gorge and Mt. Hood area looks a lot like the Olympics in a lot of ways. It's great having so much beauty around.
