Just a thought, but if you take it to a good seamstress she can change it without TOTALLY changing it. So, it would be the same dress, but different. Just like you're the same you but different!

My husband and I wish we had gotten married first like that, then did the wedding in front of everyone, b/c at the end of the day our wedding was really a party we wanted to throw for our friends and family. Getting married just the two of you with a officiant feels like the more intimate and special thing.
