Would be interested, esp if you have sci-fi an fantasy books you want to get rid of.

In reference to the book talk. I need to find homes for all of my books in the not so distant future. I've been getting the ones that I still want to have around in .epub format to cut down on the volume of things that I have. I'm slowly pulling up my roots here in anticipation of some travelling. Good variety I think and many of them are hardcovers. If there's anybody that's interested in acquiring some of them I'll basically let you name what you think is a fair price and ship them to you. I mostly just want to find homes for them with new owners that appreciate books. To give you an idea of what I've got.

Most of the Vonneguts
Lots of John Grishams
Some Robert Jordans
Most of the John Irvings
All of Orson Scott Cards Ender saga
Quite a few paperback sci-fi/fantasy

There's more but I'm drawing a blank. I'll put together a loose catalogue later to send to anyone that's interested.

It occurred to me right as I finished this that maybe this is a no no?
If so please just let me know. I don't stumble across a group of people talking intently about books very often and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try to rehome my collection.

This is one of those necessary but unpleasant to do things that I've been procrastinating on for a while, I'll probably have books in need of homes for a few more months.

what's Friends of the Library? and man, I wish I could read ebooks. I used to have a Kindle but for some reason i can't absorb anything I read in ebook format. I'll be super into it while reading, then I'll go do something else and have 0 idea what I had been reading. It's super inconvenient

honestly I don't remember, my ex gave it to my for my birthday but he took it when he left because he's an ass.

Wow, that's too bad you can't read on a Kindle. Was it an Eink or backlit (Fire). I only use the Eink Kindles myself as the others don't give me the experience of 'reading a book'. I also had something of an 'adjustment' period with the Kindle reading.

The Friends of the Library are the folks who volunteer at the library (ALL libraries have 'The Friends') and if there is space they will have a shop where you can buy the books people donate or that are weeded from the library collection. If there's no space then they usually have periodic book sales. Also, Goodwill has book only stores in some areas and if not, then book sections in their regular stores. Actually, all thrift stores do. I used to do a lot of book shopping there.

Now with the Kindle, I belong to the State Library System, the City Library System and the County Library system and they all have Kindle ebooks that can be checked out from my iPad or PC for FREE!
