She did this really annoying thing where she stayed awake until 5am every night until the day she turned 8 weeks old. Then she slept 8-9 hours straight every night until last night when she suddenly decided to get up every three hours

That sounds rough. At least you had a period of sleep. Mine has been a bad sleeper since day one. I get lucky if he sleeps 4 hours for his first lay down. He is usually up every hour. By the time I fall asleep hes awake again. Babies are so fun...... lol

Not to butt in, but I read something recently that said when young babies change sleeping patterns like that, it means they are about to grow in some developmental way.
