When my ex and I owned a restaurant, some guy ordered food, then wanted to know if we could put the amount of tuna we usually put in a sandwich into a bowl instead so he could feed it to his cat (who was with him). That way he wouldn't have to walk to the grocery store a whole block away. The employee said sure, came in back and told me to put it in a bowl. She gave it to the guy who gave it to his cat while he waited for the rest of his food.not vegetarian, but with cat food so scarce, if i had stayed where i was living, i did threaten to purchase cheaper chicken at walmart or aldi's and throw it in the crockpot or in your case you can do it in your insta pot? Then give them the chicken with their dry food so they got their nutrients. of course, i doubt the cats would have thought it a threat.
one caution though, that expensive food probably has lots of liquids with nutrients in it for your dog. i think it's to help with dehydration in some cases as well as a special digestible diet for them. that was the case when i had to get it for certain cats, though they'd never eat it. did have one cat one time that went in for hydration treatments which with the vet i was using at the time, weren't expensive and they helped.
Then he got irate when we charged him for it - said he could have gone up to the grocery and bought a can for 79 cents or whatever. Well, why didn't you then? One of the (in)famous customers...glad I have the stories, but man, 15 years owning a restaurant is long enough. Place is still there, just sold for 350K....ouch, I wish I had gotten half that much when I sold it
