To be honest, I'm not sure if I would say the old site made much sense, lol. We were just used to it. I think in time, when everything is settled and we're more comfortable with the new site, it may feel nice to be looking at something a little more modern than the old site.

My two biggest complaints are the removal of AA times (which were never really even supposed to be visible anyway) and the qualifications tab. But I imagine those things would have been removed down the road anyway, whether the site was completely redone or not.

The problem is that creating an entirely new site, that is no better, and may in fact be worse, is that in addition to all of that, we now have to deal with the madness of all of the little things that happen with new websites. Random things breaking. Changes that will no doubt happen suddenly, out of nowhere, and in complete disregard to actual voiced complaints.

It's not just as if we have to climb a mountain to get to to a shitty job...it's as if we've had to climb a mountain for nearly a decade, developed our own mountain climbing tools to do so, and then were told that, by the way, they totally heard all of our complaints about having to climb a mountain, and so they've decided to laminate the mountain and cover it in a zero-friction coating.

Amazon: "No, I totally get it! We need a new design! I can get people to create a completely new website that looks a lot better, and we can even shoehorn some buzzword-related things into the mix. The shareholders will love it!"

Turkers: "Wait, what? No no no, a new website would completely break all of the things we've created to make this manageable. If you integrated things that we need it might not be so bad, but it's going to take a lot of time and consultation with the workers, so you know what we need..."

Amazon: "That sounds way too complicated. You're making this complicated. What kinds of tools would workers need anyway? It's all right there!"

Turkers: "It's not though, we've made it tolerable...barely. That's the entire POINT! Look, all you need to do is make some basic changes, institute new policies for requesters, hold them accountable to a certain level of quality. That alone would make things so much easier..."

Amazon: "I didn't understand a word you just said. Relax, you worry too much! This is simple! New design, happy clients!"

Turkers: "...and happy workers, right?"

Amazon: "Sorry, what was that?"
