As some have mentioned, it depends on the person/customs. Generally, it is well-received, as it allows someone to spend it on a need rather than a want, without the embarrassment of having to admit that they're out of basic necessities like deodorant, TP, cleaners, etc. (I speak from experience on that bit.) Also, you can make it extra-festive by folding it into cool origami shapes! There are tons of ideas (even ezpz beginner origami shapes) online. I made my friend a card and folded the bills into stars, and it made it a little extra special. You guys think it's okay to give cash as gifts instead of actual presents?
Two years ago for the holiday, I made my 12 year old nephew a "money pizza." Dollar bills spread around in a circle lightly taped inside a new, medium sized pizza box and various coins for "toppings". It was about $25 worth. To this day, it's still intact. He says it's the coolest thing ever and doesn't want to spend it.As some have mentioned, it depends on the person/customs. I average about $50 a month.Curious if anyone pays bills with Swagbucks. I don't take it seriously and only get a PP card twice a year if that.
Very nice! Do you focus on one task or a bunch of stuff?I average about $50 a month.
Maybe helpful? http://www.mturkcrowd.com/threads/swagbucks.56/Curious if anyone pays bills with Swagbucks. I don't take it seriously and only get a PP card twice a year if that.
Hit daily goals, nCrave. That's it. I never touch surveys, rarely if ever use the mobile apps.Very nice! Do you focus on one task or a bunch of stuff?
Waste of time compared to anything on Mturk at any given time....at least for me.Curious if anyone pays bills with Swagbucks. I don't take it seriously and only get a PP card twice a year if that.
Haha, that's actually pretty awesome and I bet it looked really neat! Seems like it led to him learning about saving money instead, which is a bonus as well. Two years ago for the holiday, I made my 12 year old nephew a "money pizza." A gift card might be better than cash, they can still pick what they want but are less likely to feel inclined to spend it on something not fun like bills. Thanks for all of the suggestions everyone. I just wanted to mention that this is just going to be for family. Normally we use a website where everyone can create a wish list and we just pick something off of that site and be done with it but I guess everyone was lazy this year and nobody has posted anything. I'd find it difficult to shop in-store for something because I work 15-16 hours a day and I'm afraid that anything I purchase online might not arrive in time which is why I'm considering just giving cash.

Thanks for the heads up.I've gotten 2 rejections so far on CMU RE Lab's "Identify data actions in paragraphs" batch for missing a word in the paragraph. So, be extra careful if you're doing those not to miss anything at all.
