I can imagine them. Why do you think everyone moved to TX from Ohio some years ago? Grew up on a farm and it did get cold but I don't remember pipes freezing in the barn or the house so often. Maybe it's something to do with what they make the insulation and piping out of now thanks to climate change. It might take the leaf of of water which is good but does nothing much for real insulation.Every pipe within 5 feet of our crawlspace opening is heat wrapped. It still freezes every year. You can't imagine the damage 5°F and 30mph winds can do.
