I went camping in erie once. (two weeks, a group of us from high school in a program visiting every state university in our sophmore-junior year)
in mid july.
it was 15°F at night.
Of course, I was the only one that brought a coat, since, you know, we were going to be near a great lake

but yea, now, in winter.. no thanks
I'll stay in my comfortable 20°F-25°F area
