I used to make quilts, now I make purses and such, though not so much lately. I've become enamored with cork fabrics. I started sewing when I was a kid. I'd make my own clothes. By the time I was in high school, I made all my best clothes and had developed a fancy for designer patterns. When I got to college in the 60's, I quit sewing clothes. The style was wear whatever, so I did. Never wore a skirt again. I could look like a well-heeled artist when I chose. I don't choose now. If it fits and doesn't hurt, I'll wear it.
