I lost my job a few months ago and have had significant mental health crises so have been unable to get a "normal" job, and I have been doing my best to make it with online stuff. I'm super glad to find this forum, I can use all the help i can get!

As you start on your journey, just know there is a HUGE learning curve to turking. Spend the time over the next week or so reading any and everything you can get your hands on. Take your time and don't get discouraged. You will most likely start out making no more than $10/day but there are a lot of factors involved (computer set up, internet speed, time to dedicate to turking, etc). Oh, I'm already making more than that as long as I sit down and really concentrate on it. And it isn't my only stream of income, so that helps.

Right now I'm in the process of trying to decide what to focus on - what quals to get, etc. Any suggestions are very welcome!

get any qual you can. you never know which ones will really help you.

I'm requesting all of them I come across, but is there a list of priority ones? Should i just constantly be hitting "request" on the first page or two?

no, don't hit request a qual. it won't get you one. the scant FEW that will get you a qual that way, will tell you so (and you get a qual test or are automatically given the qual). The just hit qual button is a black hole. The requester doesn't even see it

Usually, a qual HIT will go out. Sometimes, you'll know it (it will say QUAL HIT) other times, it's a small batch, you try a few - and....you get a qualification email.
