Im kinda late with this, about a week. My first day was disasterous, i jumped on mTurk thought was easy and straightforward picked up work for some guy with alot of hits... 2nd day: realise that guy rejected 90% of my work...

Im glad i found this site, with all the resources and discussions around i jumped on this and been pushing through. At %83 approval still far from good, but now i know to recognise nasty people and focus on solid hits.

3 more grace days left, hoping to hit %90 approval by than.

Second: OUCH! Are you using turkopticon? I'd definitely review that requester. You can also email the requester to see if he/she will reverse the rejections.

It is really easy to make mistakes when you first start, especially when it comes to judging requesters. I would focus on getting your hit count up, and getting your approval rate up, and getting a feel for mturk. If you can do that then your long term earnings will go up, even if you don't earn so much initially.
