I think it's just really scary for people that might have unpredictable financial situations and are already living day to day. Especially since a lot of people on here seem to be taking care of kids on their own or have medical issues and stuff, you never really know when an emergency could come up.
People that work normal jobs where they get paid weekly or bi-weekly generally have some options available to them in the case of emergencies like that. Many places that I've worked at would offer advances on pay if people needed them, and payday loan type places are usually an option as well. Turkers that are already stuggling probably don't really have options like that available to them. I feel for those people that are really going to be affected by this. It's shitty.
But as for myself, personally, I'm kinda in the same boat you are, I guess. It's an inconvenience, for sure, but my financial situation is pretty stable for the most part, so I'll just have to plan a little better than I have been.
