There’s a local sports station here in Houston who has decided to 24/7 local coverage until the Texans lose in the playoffs. Usually their local coverage stops late at night and the National shows take over.

I think this is a great idea. Listening to Houston sports talk in the middle of the night. More stations should do stuff like this. It would make radio exciting again

There’s finally a buzz about the Texans again in the city of Houston

yeah it’ll probably last one more week but at least take advantage of it. this station is doing just that

I am a Texan
I lived in Austin for about a year.

My uncle lived and worked in the Houston area for a long time. He doesn't live there anymore, though.

where does he live now?

and I like Austin as a place to visit every now and then. there’s definitely a vibe Austin has that Houston doesn’t. it’s hard to describe. I enjoy Austin if I go with a friend/s. only 3 1/2 hrs away from Houston but once you get there it feels like a whole new state, etc

Austin is pretty much the San Francisco of Texas

There’s a lot of “dead” area of nothingness in Texas

you go on road trips...

like Houston to Louisiana...
holy moly

might be the worst road trip ever

going through Baytown, Beaumont, etc
Oil refineries, swamps, etc

where does he live now?
His wife is from the Gulf Coast (Biloxi/Gulfport area), and they ended up moving there in the past 10 years.

why does golden nugget even issue cashout vouchers for a penny instead of just handing you the only penny left to your name?

i suppose like most things, it's the law no matter how minor.
