Please help me understand scripts

I have no idea what these "scripts" are that people talk about. I added the Violentmonkey extension into Chrome on my desktop computer but I dont see anything different happening when I log into my mturk account. I've been doing Hits for a few years now, not daily but every week I do some. My dashboard on Mturk says that over a 2 year period I have 1,784 approved Hits, 99.17% approval rate, 15 rejected Hits. When I log in, I filter by selecting "Hits I am qualified to do" and I only get 2 pages of Hits to choose from. The highest paying few that show up are for no more than $3-$4. The lowest paying are $.01. Why cant I get any higher paying Hits to be available for me?

Mturk really died off when covid hit. It's a slowly draining death for the last 5 years. There used to be lots and lots of tasks but not much now. Scripts aren't really going to help much either. Scripts were used to find work or get work done quicker. When work doesn't exist, well it's not going to help.

The only script I use these days - for the most part - is panda crazy in case there is something I want to catch.
