Bar rushes suck. Drunk people have already spent their money, are rude and tip like shit.

Yeah, you do have the shitty ones, but back when I worked at the 49er diner we had a security guard bounce them with ease. Mind you, I was a dishwasher there at the time making 5.20 an hour. Some of the girls made 300-400 in tips in a 6 hour rush shift. Drunk people are rude, but they also suck at math and will flip you a benny thinking it's a 1$ bill.

I wasn't even required to get tips for what I did and I would randomly find a couple 10s or 20s stuffed in my hands every night for no reason at all.

It was required for you to get tips by the servers because servers are moral people, who know what it's like to make shit money. If it cost me basically nothing to toss the dishwasher a $10, I can say, hey buddy, any chance(since you're covered in garbage anyway) you could grab table 27, where it looks like a small child exploded? Dishwasher made beer money and I didn't have to do more shit work. I'm only there for the guests.

One of my pet peeves. I've never been a server, but I do leave the area neat, esp. after my child or nieces. Can't stand seeing the other families letting their kids make complete messes and not be the slightest respectful of the establishment/staff.
